Why S.K.Z. was Mooted

India with a population of over 1 billion has won only one gold medal .India’s 1/6^th share in the world’s population translated into a 1/929 share in 2004 Olympic medals , while turkey which has less than India’s 1/10 population won 10 times more than India. What prevents the India’s huge
translation, number of people into a proportionate or near proportionate number of Olympic medals ? The same state of affairs is prevalent in every other field may be education, research, cultural activities .This Impasse impelled me to ponder upon and on Inquisition I realized that it’s not the number that matters but the effectively participating number that matters. By effective participation I mean the awareness and the connectedness .The young Indians themselves are not aware of the potential that is hidden in them, some lack the confidence to come up and many are not connected to the ala mode technical activities, do lack the latest economy and political know how. Because of these reasons they don’t participate. To encourage right from the micro level mass participation so that the real talent is pooled, SKZ was formed .The idea SKZ was derived from the Special Economic Zone of Chinese(Deng Xiaoping) concept where extra latitudes are given so that the real germinal ideas come up and the Davietians Shine not as a hollow shinning campaign but as a resounding nuclear deal.

The SKZ is an important connection between students and professional activities, way to get students familiar with and interested in Technical and placement activities. It provides a platform for exchange of information and organize student-specific events independently.

we have started from the basics to build up our organization in stable but also flexible way. In practice, this means among other things that we have prepared a WEB site for the Student consortium, introduced our organization internationally in many ways and also started to gather information of our members with a member questionnaire located at our WEB site

SKZ coordinators are responsible for the information flow between SKZ members, promotion of the profession and SKZ activities, and for the continuity of the SKZ activities.
